Happee Holidaze
It started snowing Christmas morning, and didn't really let up until sometime in the night of the 26th. I'd say that we got about 12 inches here at my house, although the difference between 8 and 12 inches is really just braggin' rights. Regardless of numbers, we got a lot of snow! It was a great time to huddle down in the the ole hibernacula, initiating forced hyperphagia in between periods of dormancy. In other words, snuggle time! Unfortunately, the beastly heaters (dogs) need to go outside a couple times a day. But that made the warm den of the living room even more inviting after the frosty outings.
I really had a superb Christmas this year, and am thankful for all that I have been given. Blessed be me, and don't I know it! Love life - Thaddeus

lotsa pix
What a beautiful day! I woke up in a great mood, ready for anything. On the way to work I marveled at the amazing cloud structures in the sky, and snapped a few pictures to try and capture the fleeting beauty.
At lunch break, after shoveling food in my tender mouth as fast as I could, I hopped over to the Civic Center and bought a ticket to Bass Center 2 . Stoked! Then after work Jessie and I took a little walk to enjoy the sunset. We ended up at the City Market and ate at Pho Fusion, which was phenomenal. So satisfying! Now I'm having a chocolate milkshake and blogging about how awesome my day was...

Nocturnal Imaginings
Don't just sing the chorus, breathe the chorus.
This phrase came to me in a dream last night, it was being sung by a trio, one of them being James Brown, and it really struck me. I've been having some really vivid dreams lately, and have been remembering them more than usual. This one was mostly pleasant and lots of older musical legends were in it (Dolly Parton, Etta James, etc.). Dreams are so intriguing...

Ever Thankful
Just a quick post here to shout out to the universe for giving me what I got. I've had a really rough week, but I'm still kicking. Life goes on in it's infinite awesomeness, and I'm glad I get to experience it. Vague, I know, but I'm trying to look at the big picture right now.
I walked downtown today and picked up this leaf, then came home and scanned it, now I'm uploading it to the internet. Love life y'all. Peace - Thaddius

Creepy Cute
I grew out my facial hair for Halloween (I was Pan, and what's Pan without a goatee?), but I've really been feeling the clean shaven look lately and was itching to get it off. However, I decided to try the moustache-only look, just for kicks. It was awkward, but I did feel very, very cool. It only lasted a day before it went down the drain, but of course I had to digitally capture the awesomeness...

why don't ya make like a tree...
Today the weather was great. Very warm, even this morning at 6:30. Light sprinkles and brief rains peppered the day, but the breeze was like a dryer-fresh blanket against one's face, comforting. The leaf change is in full tilt in the city proper, and I love it! I love not only the wide variety of colors, but the fact that after excitedly transforming on the end of it's branch, each leaf then leaps off into the great unknown. The streets are littered with the brave and brazen, the hardy and the foolhardy; the orange, yellow, crimson, magenta, and even burnt umber adventurers pile up in drifts or are pulled and pushed into more organized mounds, where they conspire and gossip and tell stories of branch life. Eventually the landscaping ninjas corral them all into... actually I don't know where all those leaves go. All of the ones I capture in my yard stay in my yard, used as mulch or maybe slowly composted. Anyway, tangential to that, I'm listening to Glitch Mob right now. Drink The Sea on headphones. :)

Quick Pic Post
Here is my jack of lantern. Menacing, no? The pumpkin carving party was great fun, good times and great friends. Jokes by the campfire, hummus in the house, and smiles all around. :)

Blog cuz I can
First being first, and what comes after must follow. So now I have a blog, and it does not have to make sense. I do not have to spellcheck or edit my posts, although I am generally a stickler for proper punctuation and spelling. It is merely a digital record of my having existed. Not the most unique reason for placing my tiny mark on the vast internet, but an easier way to pass on one's accumulated wisdom than having kids and then trying in vain to explain the many, varied, and unusual facets of life to their small, bewildered faces. Also I think it might stretch my brain to write, since I don't do too much of that as of late. Although I kinda doubt ranting about personal grudges on an online journal leads to an increase in brain power. Anyway, I'll wrap up this paragraph with a quote from a friend of mine - "consistency is the hobgoblin of a small mind."
On to the personal: today is my day off from work, and I am doing some yardwork. Then I shall go to a friend's house and participate in a communal pumpkin carving ritual. This will be awesome, and shall involve a small bonfire, shared laughter, and perhaps some libations. Good times!
Okay, I've only done this a couple times ( and it was on MySpace, please don't tell anyone) so I'm still a little nervous. But I need to wrap it up, cut yells the director, and the lights go down. Peace love and ☆ - Thaddeus
